Settings and security
Settings is where your account lives: who you are, how you sign in, and the checks Sempo makes before money moves.
Opening settings
Press Settings at the foot of the sidebar, or your avatar beside it. Either opens your account panel over the page you are on; close it and you are back where you were. Signing out is the button beside your name.
Your profile
Your name and your email address. The email matters more than it looks: it is your Sempo address, what somebody types to find you in Contacts, and it is where every email about your money goes.
Signing in
By default there is no password: each sign-in sends a six-digit code to your email, or a link you can press instead. Under Security you can set a password if you would rather, and see the devices currently signed in to your account. Signing one out from there ends its session wherever it is.
Bread wallets
A Bread wallet can be a way of signing in, the way a passkey is. The Bread wallet page in settings lists the wallets that can sign in as you, adds one, and removes one. Linking asks the wallet to sign a short one-time challenge; Sempo keeps the public key and nothing else.
One refusal: you cannot remove the last wallet from an account that has no email address, because that would remove the only way in. Add an email first.
Proving it is you
Before anything that moves money out or changes where it can go, Sempo checks that you have signed in recently, within the last ten minutes. If you have not, a prompt asks you to confirm it is you, the same way you signed in, and then carries on with what you pressed. Closing the prompt cancels the action and changes nothing.
If something looks wrong
An email about a withdrawal or a bank account change you did not make, or a device you do not recognise: sign the other devices out under Security, change your password if you have one, and write to hello@sempo.xyz from the address on your account.
